Registration

The North County U10, U12 and U14 teams are open for registration at the end of November 2011.
If your child is 6-13 (before September 1, 2011) and would like to play, please click here to register and pay by credit card or paypal.

However, if you'd like to register the "Old-Fashioned" way, then please fill out the Registration Packet and either give it to us in person or send it to:

Please include copies of the player's birth certificate, proof of medical insurance, and a check made payable to North County Rugby Club Inc. Returning players only need to provide proof of insurance - we have your birth certificate on file.

Club Registration Fee includes:

  • USA Rugby registration and liability and medical coverage
  • Southern California Youth Rugby (SCYR) registration
  • Shorts
  • Sox
  • Mouth Guard (mandatory)
  • Pictures
Game jerseys are given out, and collected, on game day.

Medical Insurance

All youth players registered to the North County Rugby Club (Youth) are covered by the Voluntary Rugby Accident Policy offered by USA Rugby and Zurich Insurance even if the family already has other healthcare coverage.
This coverage can serve as secondary accident insurance to supplement your primary insurance coverage.

With the Voluntary Rugby Accident Policy you have a $1000 "disappearing deductible". This means that if you have primary coverage as well as the Voluntary Rugby Accident Policy, your primary insurance deductible can be covered by the Voluntary Rugby Accident Policy.

Rugby Voluntary Accident Coverage Summary:

  • $100,000 medical coverage per injury
  • $100,000 travel assistance per injury
  • $1,000 disappearing deductible
  • 24 Hour accident coverage while participating in sanctioned activities
  • Sanctioned activities include rugby practices, games and events
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment - $7,500 principal Sum Amount
  • Claims will be processed by Zurich
  • Claimant’s registration date will be verified by Zurich. All covered members must be registered prior to injury date.

Teams

This season we are offering U10 coed contact (coed), U12 contact (coed), and U14 contact (boys).

Practices are usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-8:00 PM and games and tournaments on Saturdays.
For the 2012 youth rugby season ages are determined by the age the player was before September 1st 2011.

Dates

The preseason starts on December 1 2011 - preseason games may be on Saturday or during practice.
League matches run from Jan 7 2012 to March 10 2012.

Style

Rugby Union. U8's are non-contact, two hand touch, rugby with an emphasis on moving the ball from player to player. U10's, U12's, U14's are tackle, with emphasis on proper technique and safely playing the game.

Practice Location

5:00-7:30 PM Tues & Thur.
Kit Carson Park, Escondido.

Game Location

All games are in San Diego County, except one in San Clemente.
