On Saturday, March 1st we played against the Gators. The match went extremely well, and Coach Paul said that he thought it was our best match yet. We played more as a team than ever before. This last match we used all of the tactics we have been working on, like getting better at malls, scrums, line outs, and advancing as a wall. What was also a huge improvement is that we did not do nearly as much of the ?honeybee? technique, clumping together whenever there is a tackle situation. Instead we advanced as a wall with stronger defenses than ever before. Even though we had a draw, we are all extremely proud of our progress. Keep up the good work Lady Bears!
April 5th: Lady Bears vs. Back Bay
Our game against Back Bay provided a satisfying win with improvements over previous games, namely in our defense, support play, and aggressive tackling. The final score was 17-5 to us, with 2 tries in the first half and 1 converted try in the second. Our most impressive score came after some fantastic passing in which almost every Lady Bear handled the ball, finished off by a try by Fatima and a successful conversion by Liza. It was an enjoyable match for both sides, and we were very impressed by how Back Bay never gave up and always played their best, scoring a try in the second half. Our excellent support play lead us to a convincing win.
